Hey there, haven't played EQ since 2006 and saw your server and thought about coming back. Not really sure what to make though. Population seems a little low and makes me think I need to roll a solo class to be able to ever catch up to you guys. I was thinking SK at first but I'm guessing thats not a realistic choice. Necro, druid, shaman would probably be my best bet? Any help would be appreciated. Also, I couldn't find to much info but this is pretty much as classic as it gets right? No double exp or things like that?

necros OK nothing better then ok , druids shitty heals shitty nukes , shamans fun but you wont get bane of knife or any of your good spells for a long while

This is as classic as it gets, but there is a double exp bonus starting at level 1 that scales to a 0 exp bonus at 50. Makes the first 25 levels noticeably faster, without trivializing the entire leveling process. There was also a +50% bonus added overall after kunark but I do not know if that still exists. I'd guess it doesn't considering a level 59 player with an exp penalty takes about 30 minutes to an hour to get 1%.

Says my spell files are outdated and from what I've seen apparently there used to be a link to something downloadable in the startup guide? Its not longer there apparently.. Any idea?

I went with a necro because I think they're the least gear reliant. Names chunder and I'm a gnome in steamfont. If anyone wants to play with me hit me up. I'll be around often hopefully.

Hit level 10 real fast but had to take a break. Any chance someone could throw me 20pp? Just want to be able to buy my level 8 spells. Getting hard to level without them lol.
