Moving from blue - Trying to get a feel.

I played on Rallos Zek back in the day, I wasn't real enthused when I saw the numbers on red here so I have been playing on blue ever since. But...I'm getting bored and like in most games I always find my way back to PVP - I have a few questions however.

How is the PVP scene and is there any love for a noob toon trying to get in or is it simply "too late"

Guilds? I find that on small servers especially on PVP games it tends to be a red vs. blue scenario, 1 guild vs another, is this true of red?

I started writing thinking I had a lot more questions on this but truly, I think I'm about to pass out. I will do a bit more forum snooping tomorrow, but any answers / encouragement will be appreciated. I look forward to killing, and being killed!

Its a long road to 60 and if pvp is mainly what youre looking for, you should find another game to play.

You lose 1 blue each time you die at 58 and it takes you about an hour grind to get it back.

So if youre thinking about settling in, having a pvp session where you die maybe 5 times in 3 hours, thats 5 hours of solid grinding just to get to the point where u were before in PVE.

Its mainly <Full retard> vs <Nihilum> and Nihi are PVEers so by default not alot of action. And nobody really wants alot of action cuz that means harsh xp loss.

Boring, id skip it

Ecoli would you fuck off already? I'd thought that thread I posted with the poll proved that your the only one with panties in a twist about exp loss in pvp.

Nihilum are PvE'rs, yea, nightly raids. But guess what happens after raids? PvP. Guess what happens unscheduled, sporadically, throughout the day? PvP. Guess who calls raids intentionally for shitting on the competition in PvP? Nihilum does.

Server DOES have it's problems, but it's still a lot of fun to play on. Nightly PvP battles, in fact last night there was a giant battle in KC/DL. Didn't hear anyone porting out or begging for mercy because they were gonna lose exp.

there will be no love unless you transfer money from blue and buy stuff here ( Very possible )

expect to solo or play a solo class and unless you level in unrest dont expect any pvp till later.

you will be welcomed in one of the two guilds once you are around 50 however , depending on your play style or attitude you will make that choice if you stick it out.

population is low which means nothing is contested but you are often lacking key group classes for pve or pvp , is it worth sticking it out? id say yes if you dont pick a penalty class

with a big emphasis on dont pick a penalty class.

if i didnt pick a penalty class id probably still be playing myself.

Leveling is cake if you are a solo class because there is no pvp and no competition along with an exp bonus. It is however boring because you will be playing by yourself.

Once you are 50 you can join Nihilum and be handed gear if you are willing to raid frequently. That is your only real way to get good gear right now because their guild is the only guild that has been consistently playing since server opened. They were raiding by themselves while the population was around 20 people.

There is plenty of PvP at 50+ but the balance isn't really there. Huge gear imbalance that takes a lot of the skill out of the PvP from a game that already required little skill for PvP. The gratification for a kill is still pretty large compared to most games though, if you are into grief. It does really suck losing in PvP on this server.

First char was cozmonaut , was a level 12 pk at cb zone for 2 years , then had him at 20 for garrisons mighty mana shock for ganking in paludal area , brought him to 24 and joined horsemen of doom then he went dormant till gates when i took a break from my bard to level him. He went on to join defiant after the merge and was put to sleep around seeds.

My original main on rallos was blumberg a troll war , joined revered ( bad choice ) and was put to sleep shortly after luclin.

Long term main was a bard named Deevus , was in wudan and part of some of the best raiding and team atmosphere ive seen yet , got to experience all pop progression and most of GoD , put to sleep at uqua and was picked up around omens and casually played till 200 petition ban. Played wiz after that until my last zek team

Powerbar was my SK which i kept at 75 as a twink and boxed a clr + 4 mages with software , was able to wreck entire groups and camp difficult content , included solo all darkened mobs and many fabled bosses , cleared some great shit on that team , dps was great and it was fun as hell , long live zek bros.
