Default Dervish Cutthroats not dropping bronze weapons

If there is one thing from classic EQ that I remember vividly, it is the fact that dervish cutthroats (WC, NRO, oasis, SRO, and wherever I'm forgetting) dropped bronze weapons instead of rusty weapons.

I have played on this emulator awhile now and I don't think I've ever received a bronze weapon from a derv and I've leveled up a couple characters around this level now. I am 100% that they dropped bronze almost every time that they had a weapon showing, and that I use to preferentially pull the ones showing bronze weapons to try and make money.

I tried to find some evidence, here is a link to allakhazam's website regarding dervish cutthroats. http://eqbeastiary.allakhazam.com/search.shtml?id=311

I searched and didn't find any previous posts regarding this. I hope that this gets changed. Thanks and I hope that I could help.

"As for loot, they drop rusty/bronze weapons and Cutthroat Rings very commonly, and rarely things like Jade Earring and Pearl. Your best bet for the bronze weapons are the wizzies they often have bronze main gauches and bronze shortened spears."
So, it's at least Classic if not original, right?

Also worth mentioning that the erudite wizard dervs would commonly drop a Bronze Main Gauche and somewhat rarely drop a Bronze Rapier. This made them a great example of risk/reward as you could quickly take them out in only a few hundred damage, but if you didn't they would nuke you for 100 several times and often kill you solo.

Yes it was very original. Do you actually remember differently Chanus or are you just commenting?

Been leveling on some Dervs recently and I also remembered these guys dropping bronze back in the day. Would definitely help fill the gap in order to buy spells!

Dervish Cutthroats, in ALL zones, are definitely supposeda drop bronze weps. They did in classic/original, and they did here on Project1999. When I made my first toon nearly a year ago I can remember soloing them at low levels to make cash. Now all they drop is rusty. Definitely a bug in derv loot table currently.

When I was leveling, they didn't drop bronze weps either, but I do remember mobs in SolA dropping the first bronze weps I saw which made the zone so much better as a place to XP and with the druid rings nearby, obtain money for spells.

Umm every NPC in SolA should drop FS weapons. It was actually about twice as common as it seems now, and was pet farmed a lot on live.
