Default Login to another account

Ok..

so this was werid. I logged in to my account...I have one login and password....and I had a totally different set of characters at different levels...all below level 10. I was like WTF is this?

I logged out...and logged back in to find my normal accout character..I have only one character.

I then got a message I was disconnected..then logged back in to find myself back in this other account with multible characters.

Logged back out and then back in to find my normal character.

Not sure if is a bug...known bug or what but just thought it a good idea to post about it.

Are you using 'quick connect' at the login screen? It doesn't actually work right, and won't always connect you to p1999, but instead will often stick you on another EQEMU server... I haven't tested it enough to know if it toggles between two servers or not, but that might explain the issue you are noticing...

This sounds classic.

I don't want to hijack the thread too much and respect your problem which sounds pretty serious. I want to say something strange happened to me on live, Rodcet Nife server, sometime in 2000.

I logged onto an account where my highest character was probably in the 20s at the time, I select that character at the screen, but when I log in I am in splitpaw, a dungeon I had never been, playing a slightly higher level barbarian warrior, in a group. I was able to talk to the people and I was like WTF, this is not my character.

I then logged out and tried again and got that Barbarian warrior... so I logged out and deleted. A dick move yes, but mostly I was just hardly believing this was happening. Not sure what ever happened to that guy or his character, and I'm not sure how it was fixed but I managed to play my character again, for many years again, without issue.

Anyways sorry for lack of good details it was 10 years ago but it was a very strange thing, a lot of the details are extremely hazy.

This was happening pretty often a few months back due to some changes being made to the EQEmu login servers.
