Default Concordance of research?

read here http://wiki.project1999.org/index.ph...Practice_Runes - dont know if this is the best way to level the research skill, and do not know if the level it says is where you should start that combine, or that it becomes trivial at that level.
should note that im at 102 research on my magician, but i dont remember much of waht i was doing last time i quit

I and most researchers I have talked to simply pumped our Research skill up at the class trainer. That dang ol' Concordance of Research requires a lot of running around! Once you get to a pretty high level of skill, you can research what you need fairly reliably without it being trivial to produce, and then you can use spare dropped research components to level the skill if you're that kind of person.

It doesn't take very long to get a concordance of research.

All you need is a greater lightstone.. you can usually buy those in EC for 5 plat each... or if you are near qeynos.. can find lightstones on merchants easy enough.

Here is the turn in near freeport for the concordance of research.

Yeah I just upped mine at a trainer then just made spells. Haven't failed at any yet. That's for the necro 16th & 20th level ones.

As an aside, an Iksar necro can turn in the lightstones at the evil turn in, get dark elf faction and then sell the books back to the turn in lady for cash to make up for the lightstone which is nice.

I took the barge to Ro/Oasis to do the Concordance of Research quest and while selling off, noticed that I could just buy it for 10 plat, which I did. It's in my inventory now, and did *not* do any quest.

I don't remember if it's unlimited tho; more likely someone was using the quest for it's neriak faction, and sold back to vendor, but hey, they're there. Just a tip.

The Karana gypsies should have a lot of them. With my druid i sold about 10 of them there for some quick cash.

It'll take a lot of bank space but if you keep all the runes/pages/etc banked in an A-Z order from bag 1-4 or whatever you can pull out what you need for combinations.

Less time consuming to delve through vendor stocks than go running around Norrath for rare bits and pieces that only drop in Permafrost or Kedge or something [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]
