I'm going to urge everyone to stop giving hand outs in EC for the time being. There is a guy making new characters and running into EC begging for items and he's been on the server for quite some time.

In being generous myself I helped out two different new looking characters in the tunnel the other day and switched to my alt to do some leveling. A guy moments later ran up to me and asked me to transfer stuff from two of his toons to another. Low and behold it was the two different guys I had given items to.

He had a higher level cleric and a lowbie monk but I only found that out after grouping with him [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]... I've seen this more and more so I wanted to bring it to everyone's attention.

Don't bother giving items to the people begging.

Look around for the ones who are out there in their own starting areas, slaying wasps, orcs, and whatnot, saving every little item they loot so they can sell it for copper. Those are the ones I used to seek out and give to

This!

...and I'm always in favour of naming/shaming. I know a few scumbags on the server that have worked over guildmates and friends, one of them asked for a rez a month or so ago. He didn't like being told he couldn't have one as I was right there.

Maybe I'm too rigid with it, but I believe in karma... play nice, and you're rewarded. Go around being rude, selfish or douchbaggie and people are less willing to help you when you're in need.

(I wouldn't last long on R99, right Mcmuffin?)
