Default Timeframe on petition response?

I recently petitioned for the first time via the forums over a week ago and I haven't heard anything back yet. Not rushing, but just curious what kind of lead time there typically is on stuff like that? Anyone able to shed some light? Sucks waiting with no feedback.

Just depends, I think if you log off your petition disappears or something?

I don't usually hear back on a petition unless I a) play for a really really long time after making the petitioning (6-10 hours) or b) repeat the petition multiple times. I only do "b" if its something I can't fix myself like a super stuck character.

Just my experience.

If its not time-critical ("time critical" example: character stuck in some bad geometry), the petition forums are much better than in-game petitions.

There's a marked drop in response time since I first started here. Camp issues particularly are time sensitive. If someone strolls in and kills what he likes, doesn't respond to tells and does as he pleases it would be nice to know that there's someone coming to at least make him start a dialogue.

Last time this happened was a few months ago now. I gave up on the camp (named sisters in OOT). Went AFK, made dinner. Logged out about 4 hours after I petitioned.

About another 4 hours later, I log on my cleric and at some point Amelinda asks me if there's still an issue. Well, lets see... [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Turned out the guy had logged off, so there was nothing she could do. Not knocking Amelinda, but a Eurozone GM would be handy.

if i told you how many petitions we get every day, you would not believe me. fact is, if you dont bump your petition, it will get buried by newer incoming petitions, and we can sometimes miss it.

if u feel this happened, bump it.

I was under the impression you were not supposed to bump petitions and that staff starts on the last page and works from the back to the front to ensure a FIFO response system.

Others in the past didn't like some threads being bumped. The people doing them now find it easier to find petitions with bumps, IP exemptions not so much so don't do those. Since IP exempts are cleared out every few days, its easier to just do a forum search and do them. If you were banned and want your account back, you are on the lowest part of the list to even read the petition.

We are getting like 15 IP exemption requests a day, 20+ for other random stuff. Some we can help out faster than others.

If its for small trivial stuff like missing 1k plat, easy quick quest stuff or other random things that only Nilbog can check the logs and he is typically busy doing a lot more other stuff. So don't hold your breath on getting it back or expect an answer right away. Most times you can get the stuff back re-camping the stuff before Nilbog can even read your petition. I'm not saying Nilbog is ignoring you, he just can only do so much and you maybe better off not waiting.
