Can read scrolls without trained language
Was doing the gem inlaid gauntlets quest today, and noticed that I could read the Tanned Split Paw Skin scrolls, even though I have no proficiency in gnoll. According to old quest descriptions, this should appear as gibberish:

Good find! More sources would be good.... do we know if this language barrier is Classic or later?

Found this note from May 2001:
"...You can also identify which one(s) you have by reading it. Even if you cannot read gnoll, there's a number in the text that doesn't get turned into gibberish..." http://web.archive.org/web/200111260...html?item=2739 A screenshot of the gibberish would be nice!

Yeah, that comment on the scroll is nice, backs up what the quest description was saying. Might be tough to find a screenshot of the scrolls though.
As a side note they did also look weird when opened. I don't remember scrolls looking like that when read, but maybe that's a side effect of the titanium UI. | ||
