Are there not mobs that see invis that cannot see through hide/sneak?

Hide (as in racial) counts for both living and undead mobs, you won't be seen. If there's any exceptions I've yet to come across them, maybe the FV drachnids/drolvargs/etc that see invis can also see hide? I'd be interested to know if that's the case [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

See invis spells typically also allow you to see hide as well afaik.

However, when it comes to mobs, invis and hide operate different. Much as invis and invis to undead operate different. They are all separate columns in the database. Some mobs can be flagged to see hide but not invis. Some mobs can be flagged to see invis but not hide. Most mobs are flagged incapable of seeing either effects.

As for which ones see hide? Dunno. You'd have to look it up. Or go with the tried and true "conning on the field" method.

OK well, for starters... if you hide in MM and sit at the zoneline you'll be able to see the full zone train from Castle and be able to sit through everything - both dead and undead. I've done it, it works. Obviously you need to have a mob targeted to "con" against to make sure you're hidden (if you're not a rogue etc), indifferent = hidden (unless the mob is indifferent to you anyway), anything else = not hidden.

I'd take an unscientific wild guess that anything in the "old world" will abide by the hide rules (if you're hidden, both dead and undead cannot see you), but as for Kunark its perhaps not quite as clear cut.

Some bosses see through hide, other than that you're pretty safe.
