you will have an easier time finding groups on shaman, but druids make traveling easy and you can always use it to power level another toon if you get it high enough.

they are both very good soloers. druids you will be quadding at higher levels. shamans solo single targets with a pet/slow/epic. shaman epic is quite easy so if that's a factor for you i'd go shaman.

-For faster xp Druid is better.
-Early lvls are tougher with a shaman, but once you get canni and your first pet at lvl34 things become easier.
-For diversity and more fun, shaman is definitively the better option.
-For tougher mobs shaman is better.
-for lazy lvling, shaman is the better choice. Simply cast root, slow, stack your dots and repeat.

Depends on whether you're talking max xp or tough single mob solo camps.

High level druids are capable of taking down 3-4 mobs at a time (and travelling quickly wherever they want to do so), but that payoff comes with more med downtime. Shamans are in almost all cases the best class for soloing any given single mob- slow/regen/dog/dot/proc items are tough to beat.
