Quest Issue: Monk Final Epic Turnin

Ok, I finished my epic had the Celestial Fists book and the Demon Fang. I went to TT and gave the CF book to the "Mad" kaiaren, he gave me the correct quest dialogue and the book back. Then I take the CF book to true form of Kaiaren and hand it to him, nothing happens...no quest text/response at all and no "Book of Celestial Fists" in return. Now I've gotta start epic all over again, and i'm not the only one this has happened to. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Perhaps someone else messed up the turn in before you so he wouldn't return the book back and was expecting the Demon Fang or the real book? No idea.

Well the True form of kaiaren did not respond or give me any quest dialogue when i handed him the Celestial Fists book, just ate it and made me cry [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.] lol

it doesn't work like that. You could give 1 rapier to 3250 gold to hasten 4 times and the next 4 persons to come could either do the quest completely or give the ring to get their jboots, for example.

Hasten's script is only used for one quest.

The True form of Kaiaren is used for two:

Turning in the Celestial Fists book results in the Book of Celestial Fists.

AND

Turning in the Book of Celestial Fists + Demon Fang results in Epic.

If one of the quests is broken from a result of turning in the incorrect items or only partially completed, I'm guessing the other will not work and he will eat the item UNTIL the unfinished quest is fully completed.

I don't remember cycling the book through good kairen, it should have gone like this.

1) cycle book through mad kairen
2) hand new book + fang to good kairen
3) profit

Perhaps you are right Treats, as this mob is involved in 2 different quests.

I gave the initial book to "Mad" kaiaren, he gave it back and attacked. Then I gave teh book to true form Kaiaren, nothing in response. I know 2 monks who have done the turn in successfully since by doing exactly the same thing I did. I dont get it [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]
