server screen

i can get to the server selection screen just fine
after i choose a server i just get a black screen, ive let it sit there thinking the character screen will come up soon but nothing i have to control alt delete to open task manager to exit and it always says eg is not responding i believe ive done all the correct steps to set up original eg

please help if you can
