Default Mouse X-axis speed

Have a problem with my mouse x-axis speed which is too slow. I cant bind A and D to strafe because of turning by using mouse look is way too slow. Looking up and down is quick and smooth, but on the sides it pretty much no use unless I sweep my mouse across the mousepad multiple times.

So far I've tried increasing mouselook sensitivity in game, but it seems to have little to no effect, except for the Y-axis.

wut do?

The only in-game command I know is "/mousespeed #", where # can be 0-3. This command does not affect my mouse though I think. Can you raise the yaw speed (X-speed) in the mouse driver?

I found this as well in another forum:

I had this exact same problem when I restarted playing EQ about 6 months ago. I used to play on my old computer, but I had updated meanwhile and I now have much faster PC.

The issue with MouseLook speed is that it is tied directly into your frame rate inversly, meaning, the higher frame rate, the slower the mouselook speed.

I used to get over 200FPS in old world zones and making a 180 degree turn required something like 3 widths of the mouse pad to accomplish.

All I had to do was to limit EQ's frame rate to 60HZ and everything works perfectly now. I did it by enabling VSync in the nVidia control panel, but there is a frame rate limit in EQ's settings as well that you can use.

I hope this fixes your problem as well!

Limiting the FPS either via the in-game settings or by the display driver actually works. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Set the max FPS in game to 60 and it fixed the problem! Many thanks!
