Why can't I get past server list?

I logged on right after the game stopped responding to character log in screen. Then an eula TOS came up describing something to the effect that sony wants to check the disk on this computer to help better service you yada yada yada. I screwed up and hit yes noticing what it said almost instantly after I pressed the button I exited eq now it's letting me log into see all the servers and what not but not letting me get to char screen. It just keeps stating an unexpected error has happened wtf...
