Default Merchant lists - classic?

I am quite fascinated by the amount of work that was put into this server to make it as close to classic as possible.

I am very curious about the merchant lists and what references you had to make it close to classic. Was it based off of memory, Allakhazam, or something else?

For example, the merchants in the huts in E Commons near Freeport either have more items in their list or completely different lists on the PEQ database. How did you know what to change?

Don't get me wrong. I'm not questioning your work. I'm just very interested in what you did and the research behind it.

There are also certain NPC's that I've noticed are not around, such as the Grubby Halfling on the Freeport docks. I figured she was always there. I've also noticed a couple of halfling merchants missing in Rivervale for spells (probably added later). I'm just fascinated on how you found out which NPC's were in the original, Kunark, etc. and which merchant lists were the true classic ones and which NPC's had them.
