Sorry after re-reading the OP i realized i left out any suggestion of proof aside from Alakazam (which we all know isnt 100% reliable)

I do happen to recall groups on server of Mith Marr claiming they had raided Neriak and stumbled upon the drop, only thing i cant remember is if it was pre-kunark or not. Only thing i remember is where they were at, they were worth the high risk of killing (hense why i took a group there)

Well I know this existed in Kunark. I just wasn't sure if it existed prekunark. Since the robe is also a quest item from temple of sol ro, it obviously it didn't exist before then.

Should it be in now?

Another example of soltemple npc/loot that was added at some point was Oculys Ogrefiend.. who drops totemic armor. I know he wasn't in before the temple, but might have come after.

Any additional thoughts on this from anyone?

i cant comment on ogrefiend, as far as i know he and his drops came in kunark. it could be the same situation with the robe as well


ill try to do some googling and see if i cant find any other comments about it

I think I remember them dropping Flowing Black Robes (the one from Najena) prior to them dropping the Robe of Enshroudment, which I have no idea when that switch was made.
