Root not breaking with nukes

encountered mage earth pet 3 times and root is not dropping at all when i get wtf nuked non stopp, had to wait for it to wear off

have confirmed regular 'root' (level 8 enc) breaking as a result of nukes in pvp. can't speak for earth pets.
