fickle KS'd a cyclops

I was on my way to seafuries when I saw a blue cyclops up on the island enrout. I sat and mem'd my pet and summoned it, did my melee buff, got mana back, and pulled the cyclops. My mob was almost to half when fickle used her smug wizardness to KS me.
Then she threatened to petition me. I think she meant to say petition for me. Anyhow when she wouldn't apologize I called her a bitch.
Then I continued on my way.
Then I apologized for calling her a bitch.

Why do people always jump right to the petition threat? I especially notice that people who are breaking the rules threaten petition.
