Default VP : Risk vs Reward Question

Hopefully this is a stupid question.. but.

When VP goes live, obviously there is a lot of risk since there is no way out until you make it to the end of the zone. If a guild wipes, most likely TR will be there first, will we be seeing GM intervention/help in getting the raid back on its feet? Hopefully not.

I was thinking of VP earlier and could only imagine if a guild wiped, everybody has their corpses up there with no way to get them back since no other guilds on this server would be able to clear it either (since this is part of the inherited risk that goes along with the zone) everybody would be complaining to GMs to do something about it.

VP should be very risky. I just hope that if you wipe up there, thats your own fault, and hopefully you did it in a spare set of gear.

You can get out of VP fairly quickly by just dying at your bind point, rezzing into VP, and then rezzing out. It's a headache, but might actually be faster than fighting to an exit depending upon where your raid is.

Also, any guild that raids VP will likely have a necro, some clerics, and a mage or two permanently camped in the main room for quick CR's/kills.

Also, the VP key is soul bound just like your Seb or HS key.

In short, VP mobs will die at about the same pace as regular dragons on this server unless a rotation or similar system is worked out.

The initial release of VP even stated that GMs won't help for lost corpses. I hope that holds true here too.

Key shouldn't be soul bound also. THIS was the major factor of VP.

Players in VP will not receive assistance.

The only way I can see intervening for VP is if there is a development issue preventing players from interacting with the zone.

Iirc keys were never bound to your body like they are as we see now, atleast till what... velious? It might be even later than that, and this is something i am also curious about.

07/2000 is when soulbound keys were implemented. We introduced soulbound keys with the launch of Kunark to alleviate CSR issues for ourselves.
