Any Stargate Fans in the House?
Until recently I'd always assumed that Stargate was just a stupider/more gun-heavy version of Star Trek. However, about a year ago my wife and I gave the franchise a chance, and fell in love with it.
It turns out the series is actually closer to a love letter to Star Trek than a competitor! We watched all the movies, SG1, Atlantis, and Origins, and now we're mid-way through SG Universe. If anyone else here is also a fan of the franchise, you'll be excited to hear this announcement (a decade-and-a-half in the making) ... TLDR; There's a new series coming, from the people who made the original series!
