New Everquester; Hello there!

Hi, I just started a Barbarian Shaman on P99 Green. I've never played before and I have no idea what's going on. I've been itching for something "new but old" and decided to try this out.

My major MMO experience is Runescape, Guild Wars 1, and WoW up through Cataclysm. I've tried getting back into WoW but have failed to find a social group to really make the grind fun.

I'm going in pretty much blind here. I want to discover instead of following a guide. That said, if there are any guilds out there want a new body, let me know!
