Number of Posts

As I post, the number of posts does not seem to change. Any idea why? Do posts under some topics not count as posts?

I believe posts in "Off Topic" do not count towards the total. There may be others, I'm sure someone will enlighten us.

I believe Rants and Flames doesn't either.

That seems to be the reason.
