Im a big FF guy. Favorites are Tactics #1, then 7 then I guess 8.

Here's my board, this is when it was just put together. It's pretty trashed now.

P.S. The best late game FF7 party is Cloud, Vincent and Cid (you could sub Red XIII, Tifa or Yuffie for Cid, but come on, it's Cid)

Mustudio and Agrias are good. Regular toon jobs, I always liked Lancer, ninja, samurai and summoners. Time mage is also solid.

Ah see there we differ. I love Agrias, make her a geomancer with an elemental sword for insane stat growth, I love that build. But I never liked mustadio, dunno why. I think I remember making him an archer, then saving up for archer’s concentration ability to give 100% hit chance, then equipping it on him and being super disappointed that his disabling shots like shoot arm could still miss even with concentration ability equipped. I scrapped him after that. But I know with certain builds he can be powerful

Ninja is fun but borderline OP. Samurai is fun but the very best samurai swords are super frustrating to get. I would say my favorite job was dragoon, I liked making ramza one and jumping on everyone like Mario. Yeah time mages are great, summoners are borderline broken when you have one just re-casting golem every turn of theirs to make your party almost completely immune to physical damage. I remember whenever I unlocked the golem summon the game’s difficulty just plummeted. I would never abuse mathematicians or the character Cid because they were too broken/OP

My parties were usually like a monk, a samurai, a dragon, time mage, black mage, stuff like that. I hated white mages, throwing and using potions was by far the best way to heal anyway [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Lol nice. Yeah Red XIII was sick, that theme song too: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=

I remember the first time I bumped into the emerald weapon I had no idea it was harder than the last boss. I wasn’t using a guide or anything, I just thought it was a mob. I was super confident going in since FF7 has basically no challenge outside emerald/ruby weapons, I had a decently high party with good gear and had like 97 mega-elixirs. Right away I was like “oh shit this guy is tough!” and devoted one char to using a mega-elixir every single round to keep us going. After like 15 minutes and watching the timer of my remaining air going down I was like “holy shit is this guy killable?!” Then he got to 25% health or whenever he does Air Tam Storm (1000 damage per materia you have equipped), which did 9999 to my entire party and wiped us. I was sweating bullets heart racing up until that point, and only slightly furious when he one-shot us

I called my friend who was a huge RPG nerd and using the guides and I was like “WTF IS THIS EMERALD WEAPON DUDE?!” And he laughed and was like “you’re not supposed to fight that yet, it’s harder than the last boss”. I thought that was the coolest concept, even though they had already done it in FF2, which had a dragon in a chest that was harder than the last boss. That fight was one of my fond RPG memories just because of the shock value

I agree with Tunabros on his view of FF6 being the best of the series. Final Fantasy X2 is my second favorite and Yuna is best girl.

I leave you with a Transformers cosplay rock band performance.
