Cool Spell Effects - Can I (individually) use the new spell fx?

Is there a way to move files from the live server folder and copy it to the 1999 folder and have the live server's new-ish spell graphics? I like the new spell fx playing on classic eq [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

I don't know about copying spell files from another version of EQ, but using the regular Titanium spell effects and spell gems is as easy as not swapping around the UI files mentioned in the P99 setup guide (you do still have to eliminate certain zone files, though).

bump

edit: Testing it myself. I noticed spelleffects folder. Going to try backing that up then use the live folder

edit 2: Swapping out the spelleffects folder does not seem to apply the new spell effects. There must be a separate file that literally tells it to use the new spell effects rather than the old one.
