Default Food and Water

Hello, this is my first time playing Everquest, and I've more or less figured out how to play the game, but I haven't been able to find a vendor that sells food and non-alcoholic beverages. I know my character being thirsty is bad, but I don't know how to find stuff for him to drink. Please help!

Search around, look for muffins, rations even fruit is edible. Milk or water flasks. Every city has them and most merchants located around the world.

Just keep drinking ale each time you are thirsty. Works well on my warrior.

Which cities do you haunt?

Sometimes humanoid mobs drop a flask of water.

Especially desert madmen.

And I think anything 'dervish or 'bandit'.

When I created my first char in 99 I petitioned the gms cause it said I was thirsty and I was in Surefall Glade so I told the gm "there's a whole lake right there." They told me I still had to buy it.

Thats the best way.

RP it.

Also I forget all of the time unless I'm near the qeynos bakerery. That'll be my deathbed memory.

In addition to NPCs dropping food/drink, such as desert madmen dropping flasks of water and fish/mammals dropping meat, there are edible/potable ground spawns scattered throughout Norrath—Misty Thicket, Iceclad Ocean, and Innothule Swamp to name a few. This is a less reliable version of the actual foraging skill, but if you're in the area...
