April 2001 - Leuz's Task (Scout Quest)

New quest in Skyshrine (for CoV peeps)

We found a new named drake .. hes in the room just past the bakers room. His name is something closed to commander lupez. If you talk to him, he says that there is a scout in wester wastes that has been supplying information to the dragons about giants that have been spoted on the coast. He gives you a set of tools to bring to him, so that he can better relay information.

this is all we have gotten, after searching and tracking all over western wastes, i find no giants or any new npc or "scout" to give the tools to....
anyone else find this quest and have any further luck?

I have three questions about this quest please:

1) Is the Captain solo pullable?

2) What level (aka how hard) is the Captain?

3) Where is the Scout, anyone have a location on her? or know on which hill near SG that she spawns? I ran around all over near SG + had a 59 ranger who was at SG zone look on track and I couldn't find her. Looked for about an hour with no luck.

Any info regarding these questions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Every time I seen her, she was just outside the Cave to SG in WW on the hill to the left or back of the cave (in the snow)... Problem is She is a New NPC and is KoS to everyone so people passing by will most likely kill her, until they figure out what she is for.

What I did the first two days was, I argoed her and ran her to the back part of the zone where no one goes, Rooted her and zoned to remove the argo, she doesnt wander and stays where she stops.

That kept her out of peoples vision and no on killed her. I'm not sure what the spawn time is on her, or if she spawns right after a patch.

Um.. phat lewts for all NON KOS in SS

been following a thread on the monk boards about the new uber bracer that was found. apparently people with good SS faction can do this fairly easily. Of course the uber monks call everything fairly easy. However, I think this might bear a try. It results in a robe and a bracer.

Heres the quest walkthrough:

-Go to Skyshrine and find Commander Leuz, he's down the hall from the bakery.
-Sneak up behind him, if your KoS. Watch out for the 2 Sentrys at the door. Took me a while to get it right.
-Say "I will volunteer."
-He'll give you a bag called Scout tools.
-Take this bag to Western Wastes and give it to Scout Charisa. She can be found on a hill near Siren's Ghetto. (Need to charm her, or can hand it to her while she's casting a buffing spell on herself or her pet, I think.)
-This will spawn 8 giants towards the water. 7 Guards and 1 Captain. Kill the Captain for the Disk.
-Return the Disk to the Scout and you'll receive Robe of Benevolence and a note.
-Hand the Robe back to the scout for your bracer.

While I think its kinda sketchy, with good CoV faction this quest should be doable by everyone that wants a robe and bracer. The bracer isnt even LORE, cmon thats silly [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

I'd like to drum up some interest on this, while it may require some faction work, I think the rewards for those of us without cobalt is damn nice.

The above post shows that information was still being collected, as the Talisman of Benevolence isn't even mentioned. Then again, from a monk's perspective... what talisman?
