![]() I've seen this happen on Vexven Mucktail, three times in High Pass. I am standing ontop of the rotting corpse, and it says I am too far away to loot. Screencap taken for posterity. I attempted to loot the body from all sorts of angles and distances close to but not directly ontop of the body with no results, same results for /loot when nearby.

![]() I dont know if this will help, but I've had a few problems looting corpses (esp in Feerott, where they often die inside trees. Make a hotkey with the following:
/tar a /pause 2 /loot In your particular case though, you will have to type that manually because its a named mob. ex: /tar Vexven then /loot. It may or may not help as I've not killed a named mob yet, but I've had more than my fair share that would not let me click them even standing on top of them, even though I could clearly see them. | ||

![]() Happened again this time in High Keep. The few times I"ve noticed this problem has been with mobs killed on ramps, although the previously mentioned example was on a flat plane.

![]() Try relogging. I will also tell you if it involves water you need to do this.
Often I would be hunting seafuries and kill one in the water. As long as it wasn't too deep, I would swim straight up at the corpse right clicking, and be able to loot when I was surfacing, looking straight up. If you kill the mob in deep water, you will see it slowly sink to the bottom, and always get a too far away to loot message. Relog, and then use it should be near the surface, and voila.
