![]() For a duo. anything with a cleric is gonna be boring after a whille.
A shaman may provide additional priest class support, while providing a bit more varied of combat options, so you dont tire from boredom. (: i think a ranger / shaman would be very interesting the rangers poor melee stats will be buffed comparable to that of other classes, whille both having priest/wisdom class qualities. Down time would be low since you can track mobs. and heal. Only thing lacking is good reliable crowd control and a nuker. if the shaman is of a large race, slam will benifet this party greatly. by 24. ull have dual wield, regen, heals, tracking, Root, bow skills. and it will be a interesting experience. | ||

![]() I don't think a ranger/cleric would be very viable, though it could be a decent base for a group. If you're going to go melee+cleric though you should pick a real tank.
As for shaman/ranger: When I started on this server and didn't know anyone I used to duo with a ranger I met in Blackburrow. We basically did all of levels 14-29 together and they went really fast. I think the basic strategy was ranger pulled with an arrow and I grabbed agro with Insidious Malady (disease debuff), slow, and disease and poison dots. Once I had landed those spells the ranger could never take agro back. Then they would snare and I would kite the mob around with the ranger meleeing/shooting arrows. Track+snare+extra melee DPS is a wonderful addition to a shaman's repertoire, especially in big zones like the karanas.

![]() Shaman ranger is very nice. Spell haste + slow + snare if you want to do stuff outdoors. Both Shaman dots + pet would definitely make kiting effective.

![]() As a ranger, I would go with the shaman for the reasons cited above. There's plenty of outdoor trash to pull well into your 50s now that Kunark is out. If your ranger is outdoors, has root and snare, and isn't retarded when pulling and sticks to blue con melee mobs, the ranger shouldn't die. Especially with SoW.
