Default Program to read old spdat.eff files - EQCaster

I came across a program that still works called EQCaster, which seems to be able to read old spdat.eff files. I have no old spdat.eff files to test them on though, if anyone wants to send me a few I wouldn't mind [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Super cluttered but https://www8.zippyshare.com/v/sVKvujHn/file.html
The best EQCaster, 4.2, is in the spellsearch folder or the zip both have interesting things inside not a lot of clue of what the rest of it was other than using ancient ShowEQ structs to give me some idea. I no longer have a cd drive or I would pop the vanilla and trilogy discs in to get those as well.

Good Luck! and if you ever can find out what if any element in those .eff refer to res..well you're the hero! After looking at them long enough you start smelling client pretty heavily :P
e: oh and i removed the autofire

Work? You can pull further spdat from the eq website off wayback machine thought I had all till mid luclin but I did wipe this computer and the majority of classic data awhile ago. Thank god for the cloud eh?

Somehow a halfway working build of EQClassic survived as well with a whole two zones done. And what looks like some translation code that someone could use to play TAKP with a "authentic" client. Hm.

paging @secrets why is this not a thing

I managed to pull all these off of www.everquest.com.tw:

https://github.com/dbsanfte/eq-archi...e/master/spdat

Are there more you can get off the official Everquest site somehow? I thought I dumped it but didn't find anything interesting.
