I've said this in other threads but the min/max is as follows...
Classic Green, Human all bonus points to STR
Kunark Green, Iksar all bonus points to STA
Velious Green, Iksar all bonus points to STA

As the above poster mentioned there is now a green section on the forums

In the long view, I agree with Baler. STR is easy to raise with gear compared to STA. You won't get much out of those STA points at first, though, whereas you will get get immediate benefit from STR.

Aren't Monks pretty weak in Classic? I know they don't have the broken mechanics that live TLP's have and I don't remember them being the powerhouses we all know today. Regardless, Classic monks should always go strength.

I mean what class isn't arguably weak in classic. But in classic, for human monk. It's pretty much hand to hand all the way.

All Melee are weak in classic. Just the nature of having no gear. Play what you want and enjoy the journey.

Monks are awesome in classic. All gear kinda sucks and monks need the least of it.

+20 STR for best results.
literally anything else incl. +20 WIS for second best results.
Stats in EQ are in this order of importance:
level > gear > playskill > stats.
work on the top 3, ignore the last one in classic.

all melee will struggle in green but monk atleast can be tier 1 pullers and doesnt require anything really to function, can get to groups in contested zones without needing a escort thanks to sneak/FD, if i wanted to be some solo artist and not rely on groups i wouldnt be playing a melee to begin with, but monk will be in demand for pulling because people will want safe split pulls because no one will have the gear for chain pulling
