Classic EQ has sharp, PS1 looking low poly graphics which exudes a Tim Burton-esque style that mixes cartoon and fantasy without drifting into comedy.

Post-Luclin EQ's art style is such a colossal leap backwards with a miserable attempt at realism that loses levitation right in the middle of the uncanny valley. I understand if you like it because of nostalgia, but as someone who came to P99 with zero prior EQ experience I can say with no doubt I prefer the old ones.

You think the Luclin models are bad in pictures? It gets worse! Wait 'till you see them move. They were even uglier in motion, having quite possibly the worst animations ever to grace a supposedly A-list MMOG.
