Circlets were commonly dropping off the 10 bodyguards ive killed today, ive let 6 rot allready allong with 2 essence of dol (sorry guys but there wasnt any noobs in the zone to give them to) i have seen 1 whip and no gaunts as of yet but ill be there till i have my idol and gaunts

ps tough solo but once you get the hang of it its a cakewalk

Common drop: Circlet of Shadow 5 ac +10 mana/save poison/disease effect: gather shadows(instant no cast time, no recast delay, need not be worn)
Uncommon: Whip of Strangulation: 1hs 8/24 effect: choke
Rare: Gauntlets of Potence ac 8 str +15

He can spawn at any spawn point in the chief room, and in the area below the chief room...albeit rarely.

Yes its pretty common, for like 3h+ camp they will drop about 3x.

but for ever common post there is a super-rare post...it seems like it would be a fairly uncommon spawn

I spent hours and hours farming idol of the thorned on live, and can confirm from my experience that the circlet while maybe the "rare" drop was more like uncommon. I would say whip would be 50%, Circlet 45%, and the gauntlets 5%. In all the time I spent there I never saw the gaunts.

I also spent about 8 hours farming the chief rokgus area yesterday and the bodyguard spawns seem too rare. On live I killed only the goblins on the chief platform plus the roamer and would usually see 2-3 bodyguards during an 8 hour stint. Here I killed EVERYTHING in the chief area before the ramp leading out and I only saw one.

I am pretty sure the bodyguard can spawn in the place of any static spawn that cons light blue to a level 50, quite possibly with a higher percentage as one of the two near Rokgus or in the soothsayer area. I did a tour of droga on the test server and didn't see any bodyguards up at all.

As for the Chief drops, during my session I got 2 essence of dol, 3 stickers, 2 idol of the thorned, and zero lockets. This isn't exactly a huge sample size, but the locket should be more common than the idol until it is removed. The idol may be tuned to be too high. The chief spawn itself was never particularly rare, it was getting the idol of the thorned that took awhile, I would peg it at 5% droprate.

Pending update:

-Bodyguard will be slightly more common.
-whip and circlet will be significantly more common than the gloves.
*edit- also made the goblin bodyguard cast shadowknight spells.

was googling to find proof of where bodyguards spawns and found this thread. im not sure if you did that update you said but in the last week i was down in droga the spawntimes and spawn locations werent correct. bodyguards def spawned in rokgus room which isnt happening now. his PHs were places where Maddened Burynai could spawn(do these exist on p1999) and those places were the first spawn on the left when you go down the ramp to enter the area. 1 spot each on the left most and right sides of the area and both of the non rokgus spawns in his actual room. i farmed this camp for idols on the reg and also had 2 chars on live with ally faction to chardok via farming droga

I tried looking for around 20minutes for information regarding spawn locations and peoples typical spawntimes with the bodyguards but didnt have any luck

The room at #8 is where the body guards spawn

I was unable to find a close up of the room or a map of where and what the spawns were either so i made a crude sketch

The pentagrams would represent about where Maddened Burynai could spawn which were PHs for goblin bodyguards. These locations would always be Maddened Burynai, regular goblins(dirtscribers, legates, ect) or a bodyguard. Currently I believe Maddened Burynai arent spawning at all or they are wayyyyyy more rare than what they used to be. Currently bodyguards arent spawning at all in the center of this area or in Chief Rokgus room, which is represented by the green dot with the smiley face and top hat. There should also be a second regular goblin spawn next to the first pentagram as you enter this area. Currently nothing spawns there at all.

what you have going on down there isnt far from live, aside from no Maddened Burynai and the frequency of how often bodyguards would spawn. I was down there with TR yesterday for over 12 hours and we saw 2 pop. On live if you were clearing the entire room it wasnt uncommon to see a bodyguard on every cycle, and you would rarely never see Maddened Burynai for a whole cycle. Id say it was like 70% chance for whip, 29.5% chance for circlet, and maybe .5% guantlets which were ultra rare(rarer than idol of thorns by far)

maddened burynai/bodyguard should spawn more frequently.
