Default Macro help

Is there a way to make a macro that will target a group member in your party? I have tried /target group # in multipler different configurations but it does not seem to work. I want to make a macro for switching from attacking the mob I am fighting to targeting my duo partner and healing him then assisting him to retarget the mob.

Do you use key binds?? I have changed mine around a bit and its fantastic. You could always set up like 1,2,3,4,5 for group members (instead of F3,F4,F5,F6,F7 I think). Would make it alittle easier. If you have spells you uses for 1-5 you could set them up 6-0 for quick targets. I dunno if any of that works just throwing out idea's lol.

You could map both the target group member #1 and the action bar #2 slot #1 (which you add your healing spell to) to the same key, and then that might work; honestly I've never tried it.

But really you either need two key presses (F2 and your heal spell) or a macro like Beldon suggested.

I find it good to put a few /cast in a cast macro to mitigate the risk the first fizzles.

I do the same. Like:

/cast 2
/cast 2
/cast 2
/cast 2
/g CH on %t in 10 seconds!

Then you're covered in the rare case of a string of fizzles. I haven't made a macro that targets the player though. I always use F1-6.
