FV: Captain Nealith : Glaive of Marltek

I just completed http://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/q...tml?quest=2718 a few minutes ago but when handing in the blood soaked note on my rogue "Outcast" (my faction was Amiably, only indiff is required) instead of receiving the "Glaive of Marltek", Captain Nealith instead emoted as if I had just handed him a canine saying "Captain Nealith holds the canine in his palm. 'Good work, but you will have to slay more than this to earn your wages."

Not exactly sure what is wrong but it seems that he thinks the note is a canine instead.

Any chance I could get my reward, or at least the blood soaked note back to hang onto until the quest is fixed?
