Default Uthgard (DAOC)

Anyone play(ed) here? I'm thinking about starting DAOC up again, it's been a while and EQ just doesn't give the pvp satisfaction that DAOC does.

If so, what are the pros/cons? I was thinking about rerolling with a buddy on alb and doing scout/inf duo since we play casually and won't have time to commit to an 8v8 guild.

Any info would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

I tried to play there, but the mechanics in that game irk me. I couldn't do it.

Have you never played DAOC or something?

I beta tested it, and played it upon release shortly before deciding it wasn't for me.

I tried putting time into it again on the suggestion of some of the players here. It just sucks for me lol

You and your imagination, Tralina.

I've played there before, ran guilds in all 3 realms (not at the same time, obviously). It's a very fun (and possibly addicting) game if you enjoy group pvp (RvR).

This server is as close to classic DAOC as any server will ever get, though it's not all classic, for example...Alchemy and Spellcrafting are in, but not the expansion with which they were introduced.

You should check out playtocrush.com -- shadowbane emulator that's nearly finished. They just had another public preview (basically weekend-long beta tests) and it looks like it's on point.

It's really the best PvP MMO I've ever played.

Last I checked, the live version of Shadowbane was (made) free as well.

Server seems to have a huge European population, I tried playing but found mountain time didn't align with more than 200 people being on. But I've seen it with over 1000 people as well.

Some classes are unfinished, but for the most part it's DAoC.
