Default Going Linkdead on 2 different Laptops

Basically I log in, and then eventually go LD if I zone or just time out. The kicker is this is happening with 2 different PC's. I have no idea what could possibly be causing this. There have been no updates done to either PC and I have obviously rebooted/shut down to see if that would help. I am just baffled at this situation....I gave it time and tried again later, still the same result.

Anybody out there ever experience this or something similar and know what could be causing the issue? HELP!!!!

If it is happening with 2 different LAPTOPS, I am going to assume you are connecting through wifi.. If you have an ethernet cable, try hard wiring into your router and see if you experience the same issues. If it you are good hard wired in, then it is your router's wifi (since its happening with 2 different laptops, its most likely going to be what they are connecting to instead of both laptop wifi NICs being bad.)

You mention that you rebooted the PCs.. have we tried rebooting your router/modem?

Does this happen with any other multiplayer games you might play or netflix/streaming cut out occasionally?

When you go LD/timeout, what are the lights on your router doing? Are you able to access the internet on your phone or on the same laptop when this happens?

One thing you can try is opening up a command prompt by hitting the start menu and type cmd and hit enter or select Command Prompt. In the cmd window, type:

ping google.com -t

Keep this going while you play EQ and when you LD/time out, do the pings continue?

I rebooted the router, but am too far from it as I in a separate room to set up an ethernet connection. I guess I could always purchase the power over ethernet plug in and see if that helps.
