Default Western Antonica Newbie quests?

Are there any newbie quests worth doing for a mage in Qeynos area other than Gnoll fangs? Is there somewhere a list of classic quests in that area? I was checking Alla Qeynos Hills and South Qeynos and North Qeynos but its hard to tell what was classic, and it seems like 99% of them werent?

is there a list that just lists classic/kunark era quests? or maybe someone can list some worth doing for a mage?

Bandit sahses come to mind.

Also there are a couple of quests you can do in tandem withe the gnoll fang quest. Simple item turn ins in the city.

Diseased Pelts (Rabid Wolves and Rabid Grizzlies) is an excellent noobie quest. See your local cleric guild for help.

Awhile back I set out to try to experience a bunch of the qeynos halas stuff - and while there are some really cool Halas quests that provide containers (a big + for a fresh character), the only really decent exp quests were gnoll fangs, diseased pelts (there are two rabid wolf spawns in SW qeynos hills, and one rabid grizzly spawn that paths around the center of the zone toward the front of BB which are relevant), and bandit sashes. The others can sometimes provide decent newbie armor, but usually not all that better than cloth.

It's fun to experience once or twice - and gnoll fangs are really awesome - but even the myriad of Halas quests aren't all that lucrative.

Actually a little side question related to Gnoll Fang Quest... since it lowers faction with Corrupt guards (unless you do halas one), is there a way to raise corrupt guard faction without lowering good guard faction?

I always followed up my gnoll fang turn ins with taking the moonstones to McNeal Jocub in the southernmost pub/bar. He gives you some Blackburrow Stout, which you can sell back to him and used the money from that sale to buy honey mead to give to Tumpy (4 at a time). This seemed to keep all of my factions in perfect harmony.

Agree. Something kinda obvious when you think about it, but easy to overlook. Thanks for the tip!

I enjoyed these quests also, at the time in Live when they were released. The problem with putting them in on a classic server, as the Fippy team learned, is that they made almost every classic-era armor set obsolete.
