Default Tstaff or Fungi

Hey everyone just looking for some opinions. I recently won a TStaff... and me and my bro are doing a shammy/mnk duo ... currently we’re lv 17 but climbing quick. Anyway my question is .. should I keep the TStaff for mnk to use or trade it for a fungi? Someone mentioned to me that Dmg is capped until 30.. which isn’t to big of a deal.. like I said were LVing quickly. But for the purposes of going 30-50 TStaff or fungi for mnk? Thanks in advance

Fungi, 100%. T-Staff is over rated until at least 51, and even then you're not that far off with a Peacebringer. Trade it for a fungi or get lucky and sell it, buy a fungi for 41-42k and see if you can buy a peacebringer. if not, wu's quivering staff (*23/28 I think) would suit you fine for a long time

If you can only have one or the other,

Fungi >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> T staff

T staff is cool, but it doesn't massively enhance your game like fungi does

Fungi means you're ticking your life back almost as fast as you're losing it unless you insist on fighting high lvl monsters. It means you can solo to 60 effortlessly doing literally anything you want anytime you want. It means you can FD, take a piss, and come back at full HP and ready to tank 2 mobs at once, not that you need to because you're a monk and have FD. It means you will *never* need a group again, but it does let you powerlevel your shaman buddy or whoever *you choose* to leach your exp. It means you never need to say "add me to list plz" because you can just do the entire camp without needing a group. T staff does none of that. It just marginally outperforms other, slightly worse weapons.

Fungi most OP tradeable item in the game, its kind if like an instant level 30 xp boost for melee. And then 50% xp increase after that

If you don't mind me asking - your posting history looks like you should not be able to get a KC pipe or a T Staff.

How did you happen upon these items? A cynic may postulate that fuckery is afoot...
Ha, no problem. I just started p99 a month or so ago. My main is a bard, currently lv54

Yeah I was wondering about that too:

Something doesn't add up there. I mean, I realize that there are some very nice older players who give out items to lowbies, and I personally have both received and given away a JBB to/from a complete stranger.

But a TStaff is like 4-5x the price of a JBB, and whenever someone gives a similarly priced item away (eg. a fungi) it's usually a big server-wide production, not a quiet hand-off to a n00b who is a complete stranger.

So was OP just insanely lucky, and just happened to get (quietly) given a 45k item by a complete stranger? Or did he "win" the TStaff by paying for it IRL? Inquiring minds want to know.

You check out - now sell the Staff and get you a fungi
Haha. So should I be looking to make a strait up trade? Or does TStaff go for a little more plat than fungi?

Try to sell T staff for 45k and buy fungi for 40-42. It will probably be worth the extra couple AFK hours you spend in EC to accomplish this mission, padawan, unless you have a reliable way to make over 1k plat per hour
Okay will do. Thanks for advice everyone [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]
