Default Crashing in EC

I am trying to log into my druid in EC. I ported from Eastern Wastes to West Commons and ran to EC just fine. When I zoned into EC I crashed. I have tried multiple times to log in and I get into the game fine to only crash when I click on anything. I can log into other chars just fine and do whatever. I have not tried to run to EC with any other characters. Can someone elaborate why this might be occurring or what I can do to fix the problem.

The times that has happened to me, it's been my firewall on my router. It's been intermittent but turning the firewall off temporarily has fixed it. I have seen other causes of the same issue though, so my solution may not work for you.

I did a fresh install from a working titanium saved file. Now I am getting to the character screen and it is giving me "my spell files are out of date" I cannot see my toons just stock humans with the names "your spell files are out of date."

What am I missing here?

I found on a different thread that crashing in EC could be due to a chat window being shrunk down to not show anything (in my case my auction window was fully minimized). I am not sure of a way around it, but I did a fresh install then downloaded the patch. If fixed all my problems. Hope this helps out the next person.
