Insane slow zoning and internet stops working

Hi,

When I play EverQuest and zone I a. disc or b. manage to zone in after several minutes.
I also can't access chrome or log into my account without restarting windows. So it seems like I lose the internet connection, but this only happens when I play EQ. Has anyone experienced this?
