Default Robe of the Lost Circle. Thoughts?

I have been researching the best way to go about this......endeavor as an Iksar monk. I am 48 about to hit 49 and intend to hop on this adventure around level 50-51. So far I am thinking I have 3 options to complete the Robe of the lost circle fiasco.

1: Grind out a million orc deaths to raise faction enough to blow through the sash/headband quests

2: Fork over the money for the sash/headband, basically trading orc death for.....plat death?

3: Find a way to have brother Z have an "accident" and loot the robe from him.

I guess my questions what is the best option? I feel option three is the most convenient but I don't really have that kind of fire power. Option 2 is the most likely, just more time farming stuff.

Any sharable experience's would be awesome to brace myself for my first epic endeavor!

Skip step 1; make a lvl 1 human monk, give all droppable quest items to them, turn in for sash or headband or whatever, then trade that back to iksar.

Just start a human monk in Qeynos and drop trade the items necessary for the lvl 1 monk to turn in for you, then drop trade the turn ins back to your iksar monk.

Then just kill Thena Lonnes for the sash.

I Hear you can kill brother z with a solid group of 60s. So if you can get a few volunteers that'd definitely be the easiest route I think. You'd get the full iksar monk experience though doing option 1! If you need a 59 Rogue to assist in the assassination of mr. Z, pm me. I'd be happy to help.

Getting a kill force together for Brother Z is not as easy as it sounds but it is also not as impossible as it may seem. You need a 60 warrior, cleric, an off healer (shaman/druid) and 3-4 DPS to do it 'safely'. Problem with Brother Z is that he attacks like a f#cking freight train and quads. I don't remember if he is slowable or not but you need a warrior to pop defensive disc and even then you need spot heals inbetween the clerics CH. Torpor shaman works exceedingly well for this.

Spawning him is a huge pain in the rear also, he never spawns when you want him to and he is up everytime you need Hasten.

best bet is to spawn him by camping his spawn point on the hill (see wiki) and then

/who all 60 warrior - send tells till you get a bite

/who all 60 cleric - send tells until you get a bite

/who all 60 shaman - .......you get the idea

Once you spawn him you have 4 hours to assemble the A-team to kill him. Be wary of other adventurers stealing your Bro Z

On a side note brother Q in the Karanas always drops the robe and is much less contested, although finding him w/o a tracker is PITA

But also doing the quests is not terribly hard, the sash quest is easier to do than the headband quest. I did the sash quests and bought the purple headband for like 1500pp or some such amount. The biggest thumb in the butt is Raster of Guk but you are of a level where with enough bandaids and smart play you can get experience there...I started Raster at 48 I think and leveled to 49 from the minos. Maybe it was 47 to 48...either way you are pretty close and should be able to do it.

Targin the Rock can be a sh!tfest but he is 100x easier to get then Raster since people actually camp Royals in SolB from time to time.

once you have Raster and Targin in pocket the rest is fairly trivial

Make sure you turn in the class note to the guild master, first; it gives you the small but necessary faction boost required to do the quest in Qeynos.

brother z is not slowable, brother Q has been reported to be slowable but I doubt that as I've had tash/OoS/malo land on him and tried to slow it between all 3 of those classes and it did not work once for the duration of the fight. You basically just need defensive war to take the blows, thats quads for 300's. used to be able to give him a 2hander but GM's fixed that (cough, not classic, cough).

Awesome! Thank you for the information!

I never thought about making a mule monk to do the turn ins, that is a great idea.
I am thinking that I may try and bug some people for a Bro Q or Z kill (p99 wiki says Q sometimes drops the robe?) depending if the planets align and people are free for it.

So true. When I did this it took me longer to spawn Brother Z than it did to get Raster/Targin/Sash/Headband combined. In the past when I was trying to spawn Hasten I'd always get Brother Zephyl in like the first 30 minutes though.
