![]() Makes sense for the UI to be screwed up since your game pulls up UI information for each character. If your character name is no longer the one saved on your computer then the game is forced to set everything to default. At least that's the way I understand it.

![]() Can't you just rename the UI file at that point, though? Never tried it personally.

![]() Ya, i wasn't really pissed about the UI file its self. But the fucking no talent GM decided to log me off mid combat, so when i came back all my shit was crazy, and had to make sure i didn't die and run from repops.
Basically, my biggest point I'm making is the GM had to log onto a level 1 alt, and not his GM tagged character and nerd raged on me when I told him i reported him for impersonating a GM.

![]() I can understand if uthgaard did it to me or hobby if I was being a prick about it. But these people are PAID employees of a major company. They should have some kind of standard and respect for paying customers.

![]() WHoops already deleted the thread. here is the petition report.
Customer 02/18/2011 08:06 AM Also, where is my sweet questionnaire for the level of service? Customer 02/18/2011 08:01 AM 1. "At this time, the majority of GM tags are not being displayed correctly on the server Vulak" You did not state this. For years we are told to immedediately report anyone that we believe is impersonating a GM. I did a /who all (your name) and saw no GM tag. If there was a bug with the server that did not allow you to represent yourself properly you should have made that very clear with your first /tell. 2." When you take a sexually explicit name such as Tugmuynutz, our main goal is to remove the name as quickly as possible, with your concerns about the action and requests for a new name following in close second." Sexually Explicit -Pornography or porn is the portrayal of explicit sexual subject matter for the purposes of sexual excitement and erotic satisfaction. With that said, your logic is stretched to say the least. 3. "I contacted you without making any demands or remarks about your name and it was met with much protest, as you said in your petition." Protest? I said That because you did NOT have a gm Tag that I was going to report you. That is what is expected of the community when we feel that we are dealing with someone impersonating a GM. You have many ways to prove otherwise and could have handled the manner professionally without logging off and booting me to login mid-fight. With these 3 key notes, I'd feel more comfortable speaking with your supervisor about the matter than with you. Response (GM) 02/18/2011 07:41 AM Greetings Buglahwutz, Thanks for contacting us about your recently changed name. At this time, the majority of GM tags are not being displayed correctly on the server Vulak. Instead of inciting an argument or causing you to believe I was forcing you to do something under the false impression that I was an employee of Sony Online Entertainment, I decided to continue along with the disciplinary action I needed to carry out. When you take a sexually explicit name such as Tugmuynutz, our main goal is to remove the name as quickly as possible, with your concerns about the action and requests for a new name following in close second. I contacted you without making any demands or remarks about your name and it was met with much protest, as you said in your petition. I can still offer you a new name though. Please note that a warning has also been placed on your account and any further violations of our naming policy could result in serve disciplinary action. That being said, please respond to this petition with a few acceptable names for us to consider, I hope to hear from you soon! GM Onyxramus Sony Online Entertainment Auto-Response 02/18/2011 06:39 AM Greetings Denizen of Norrath! Thank you for petitioning for your Community Standard issue. This automated response is directed to help us accurately assist you as quickly as possible. Player reports are essential in nearly all of these investigations. To report successfully in-game, please minimize all of your chat windows besides the window with the relevant text or dialog. With the last remaining window, scroll up so that the first line of reporting text is at the top of the window and use the command /report . While we are not able to take Screen Shots as the primary source of evidence, if you have Screen Shots, feel free to include them in your petition as an attachment and we will add them as supplementary evidence to our investigation. Thank you for taking the time to update any needed information. A Game Master will be addressing your issue as fast as humanly possible. Sincerely, EverQuest Management Customer 02/18/2011 06:39 AM First I have some random level 1 necro tell me he's a gm (WITHOUT a GM tag). So i tell him i'll report him for spam and impersonating a GM. 5 minutes later I'm disconnected mid fight and my name is changed along with all my UI settings. You guys are a real fucking piece of work, not even giving me the chance to change my name to something else, or even the courtesy of letting me know i was going to get logged off. 7 years since i've played this game, and you guys remind me why.

![]() Shortly after they deleted my thread (with people agreeing with me the level of retardation it took by the GM to forget his GM tag...) I received a PM from the community manager.
(customer name) I've gone ahead and removed the topic, as discussing GM action never goes anywhere productive. If you'd like to discuss the actions the GM took or their professionalism, please do so with me directly. Thanks, -Piestro EverQuest Community Manager My response I appreciate your time and understanding of the matter, Piestro. Though I do understand the Naming Policy and agree that my name was inevitably to be changed, I feel that GM Onyxramus had failed at certain aspects of his job responsibilities. I am sure you can read over the petition that I have sent and also replied to after GM Onyxramus responded to my petition. Though I do not disagree with my name change, I do find it less than kosher with the way he handled the situation. 1. He did not clearly represent himself as a employee of SOE. His tag was not present, and when I told him that he did not reply in anyway to prove that he was NOT someone trying to pretend to be a GM. Now a days it is all too easy to scam people and steal accounts in such a way. 2. After I told him i was reporting him for impersonating a GM, he logged off. 10 minutes later i was disconnected without warning, mid-combat. I log in to see my name is changed and still within a dangerous area for my character. 3. As most people who work in the customer service industry, it is important to communicate with clients. Even if the customers are in the wrong, it is important to explain the situation and what the solutions are without losing the respect of the person you are handling. I believe, at best, he carried out the very MINIMUM of his job responsibilities. Even if a paying customer is in the wrong, it is important to help them understand why actions are being taken and how to prevent future incidents and to maintain a friendly environment within the gaming community. With all this being said, I would appreciate this incident to be made note that this is what I would call a performance issue with an employee of SOE, and would like to be respected of my complaint and have at least a supervisor look into the matter. And at the very least, a voluntary name change if possible. Buglahwutz, I believe, is an even WORSE name. =) Michael (end response) At the very least, I hope he gets his time wasted by his supervisor and instructed on how to NOT be an idiot at the easiest job profession known to man.

![]() Shortly after the community manager PM'd me, I received this e-mail response to my petition.
Response (GM) 02/18/2011 08:24 AM Greetings Buglahwutz, Thanks for your continued concern. When I contacted you in-game you informed me that you were going to set my character to ignore. At that point, I would not have been able to do anything to circumvent that or continue my conversation with you. I understand that you're upset with the fact that you've had your name removed and i'm escalating your petition to our management team. Please allow some time for them to address your petition. Happy hunting! GM Onyxramus Sony Online Entertainment Customer 02/18/2011 08:06 AM Also, where is my sweet questionnaire for the level of service?
