NPC Spawn Issue: Shadowed Men aggro no matter what?

In innothule just now I got aggroed by every shadowed man and woman at the camp, at level 50. The way I remembered it was that they would stop aggroing when they became green, like most mobs. This is also how it used to be on this server.

As far as I remember, this is how I experienced it on live. However, my experience was not during classic. But I don't see any reason that this would have been changed.
