Default Coming back to Everquest after 5years

Hey guys,

Not played Everquest in 5 years and wanting to come back but don't know what to play. I've never tried Project 1999 as i stumbled across it a few months ago and been waiting for a good opportunity to binge in its aww! Previously i've played a Mage, Wizard and Rogue at high levels.

Is there any guilds that are looking for new members or specific classes. Up for playing anything just don't want to play a class thats in excess and unwanted.

Any replies will be greatly appreciated!

I was trolling you, but seriously they're absurdly overplayed along with NEC + DRU

Any solo/farm classes are overplayed to DEATH

If you want something in demand roll a melee tank or dps

Such as ROG/MNK/WAR/SHD/PAL

There are some but their usually not nearly enough to go around

I sensed some trollage but thought I'd just go along with it.

I'm guessing the best bet is to play a SHD from what i remmeber (i had a lvl47) they are the best ones out of the lot for soloing, especially since im starting from scratch - No twinking what-so-ever.

We have a lot of SKs as well. At least, from what I've seen. For some reason, a lot of the people that play mages also play SK alts. Or visa versa.

As far as guilds go, it really just depends on what you really want to do. Check out the guild listing or guild forum.

(don't mind the slight trolling that has been going on in every guild's posts in the last couple days)

Oh, and welcome back =)

I'd say go Monk, if you want something that not alot of people play with some solo ability. but if you dont mind going with the crowd then yeah play SK or a solo type (mag/nec/dru)

I've never played monk past lvl 8 because of the whole weight control business. Also never looked that far into it because trying to get gear for one back in the day was expensive!

I dunno man. Higher up is pretty saturated with monks.

I say play whatever you want. Don't even worry about what we have "too much of"

Once you find a guild that you really like and find out what they need, then you can choose something that is needed. For now just come onto 99 and enjoy yourself.
