Tell windows not working

A couple of weeks back I thought I had camped out my dial a port toon but for some reason it didn't happen and my character stayed logged in while I was away at work in which id say I missed somewhere between 100 to 150 tells (all popped up in tell windows) but when I got them all closed it started just having my tells come as they would if I didn't have use tell windows on, it was weird because it was only like that one that specific toon until 2 days ago on another of my characters when I send a tell now nothing shows up at all! Anyone know how to solve this problem?
