I thought it would be classic to play that way, if the dude could have the spell book up when he sits to med, that would be a super bonus.

nothing like sitting in a OverThere field waiting to get trampled by one O' them rhinos or tigers. and never see it coming. Ahh the good old day's you youngsters never had.

Pretty sure that limitation went away on Live when Velious was released, same with having to look at the spellbook, and being able to link items.

item links were in Luclin, yes

they were added with the patch that added the UI which could be customized
