No inventory scroll upon character creation

Pretty much what the title says. I logged in for the first time yesterday and made a mage, but there was no scroll in my inventory to see my trainer. Same on the necro. My warrior, though, did have one.

I've been away from EQ for a long while now, but aren't all classes supposed to have the starter scroll?

Update: after deleting and recreating a few times, the inventory items showed up.
