![]() Just started playing two weeks ago, around level 24 now. My question is if I'm going to be stuck with the same Armor appearance forever..? This tan shirt with a tree on it/tan pants combo?
I've seen other people where every time they change to a different armor it looks different but mine's always the same, and same color.. :/ There are no armor dyes in p99 right? So am I screwed? Thanks!

![]() There are four different armor graphics in classic EverQuest: Leather, Chain, Plate, and Robes. The Robes have various different styles and colors, but generally, armor type dictates how your character is going to look. For a Druid, there are some options, such as a Brown Chitin Protector (Plate Graphic).
But yes, you are pretty much stuck with Leather graphics until you reach a higher level and/or can afford to purchase things with off-type graphics such as the Brown Chitin Protector or the Kunark class armor (which all looks like plate). The other option is just waiting until you can get Velious Class Armor, which have unique graphics separate from the Classic armor types. This is what Wood Elves look like in the various Velious armors.

![]() Druids have a couple cheap robe options:
http://wiki.project1999.com/Robe_of_Living_Fungus http://wiki.project1999.com/Crystal_Covered_Shroud Living Fungus has the more interesting graphic as the shroud is just plain white. edit: oh, damn, you're a wood elf. never mind [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

![]() Plate armour looks fantastic on a wood elf druid.
You can start with a brown chitin protector, runed mithril bracers, and golden efreeti boots (in order of $$$). Eventually, if inclined, you can be full silver plate via crystal chitin. But otherwise, yes, you'll always be in the same leather appearance with the tree. Velious textures are a bit different, though, and not quite as boring as noted above.
