dark elf courier for Tunare symbol quest

I finally got Larik Z'Vole after a long time camping but couldn't find a dark elf courier after he died despite being on my ranger to track. Does anyone know what makes this mob spawn? Did I just miss it or are they not in actually linked?

He spawns right after you kill Larik near the gfay zoneline , then he starts running toward the dark elf camp.

I bound myself near the gfay zoneline and gated right after killing larik and found him with no prob.
