New Player Help

Hi all! This is my first time ever playing EQ and I was wondering what the best route for leveling is. I am a level 5 Erudite Enchanter. I have read online that some people feel you should just immediately run to Freeport but as a level 5 it doesn't seem like such an easy task.

Should I just stay in Erudin for awhile or should I try to make the trek to FP? Also for binding locations...do I have to have the spell or have someone else cast it on me or can I bind locations another way?

Sorry these questions are so basic but I was getting confused with stuff I was reading online.

Probably best to stay on Faydwer. Crushbone is one of the busiest areas, and then you have Unrest after that.

As for binding, you get the spell at 12. You can bind YOURSELF almost anywhere. Someone with the spell can bind group members mostly in cities.

As for levelling, Freeport is overrated. Stay over there.
You can go to Blackburrow. Save all your gnoll fangs until 10. After turning them in (Qeynos), travel to Western Karanas and kill bandits. Collect their sashes until your bags are full. Turn them in (Qeynos) and sell the bronze weapons. Can do this until 18-20 and get decent cash to grab some equipment.

Seeing as your in erudite the previous post about faydwer doesn't apply to much. That being said. It is not hard to get a port from toxxulia (zone outside erudin) to the west commanlands or butcher block (which is in faydwer, the continent the previous poster was talking about). Both of which will put you near much busier low level dungeons and areas. Most people charge money for ports. But if you tell them up front your new and have nothing a lot of people will port you anyway because lots of people here are kind. I'll be on later tonight and will do it for free if your online.
